  • The Pilot study for a “European Network of Rescue Stations (Potential Analysis)” was supported by Avina Foundation, Hurden (CH)

  • The Rescue Stations (later ELBARN) project was supported by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment. This support was used to cover costs outside of the EU countries, especially in the Western Balkans.

  • The pilot phase of Arca-Net (www.arca-net.info) was possible thanks to the financial support of the Margarethe and Rudolf Gsell Foundation, Basel.

  • The further extension of the project as a pan-European network (later ELBARN) was supported by the Lotteriefonds, St.Gallen

  • Action 066, European Livestock Breeds Ark and Rescue Net (ELBARN), received financial support from the European Commission, Directorate- General for Agriculture and Rural Development, under Council Regulation (EC) No 870/2004
